This role is centered around providing comprehensive support to attorneys in the Real Estate and Transactional Finance Practice Group, including assisting with commercial real estate development and finance matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, edit, format, and distribute legal documents using Microsoft Office and other specialized software
Manage administrative tasks such as electronic filing, scanning, and preparing mailings and packages
Open new client matters, initiate conflict checks, and ensure accurate time entry for attorneys
Process client billing by collaborating with the Finance Department and submitting invoices for payment
Coordinate meetings using platforms like Zoom and assist with scheduling and calendar management
Utilize document management systems, such as NetDocs, to organize and maintain files
Proofread and edit documents to ensure accuracy and attention to detail
Provide general administrative support to attorneys, ensuring smooth daily operations
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience working in a law firm, with a focus on real estate and transactional finance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong proofreading and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively as needed
Hands-on experience in opening client matters and managing attorney time entries
Familiarity with document management systems
experience with NetDocs is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
Experience coordinating meetings and managing schedules using tools like Zoom
