A well-established national law firm specializing in business immigration has an immediate need for an entry-level Legal Assistant to join their San Francisco office. This role involves preparing immigration applications, managing case files, and supporting a fast-paced legal team. Job Responsibility
Perform high-volume data entry and case tracking
Draft immigration applications and supporting documentation
Organize and maintain legal documents and case files
Communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding case status
Prepare specialized letters outlining visa eligibility
Support the legal team with administrative tasks (scanning, printing, mail circulation)
Attend legal team meetings and training sessions
Assist with additional legal projects as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with professional office experience (internships or fellowships alone are not sufficient) OR 1–2+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal setting
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting and proofreading
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume workload
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
familiarity with case/data management systems is a plus
Positive attitude, client-service mindset, and interest in immigration or legal work
Must be available to work onsite Monday–Friday in San Francisco (remote work is not available)
