We are looking for a skilled part-time Legal Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. In this role, you will support corporate legal transactions and provide essential administrative assistance to ensure smooth operations. The schedule for this position is 10-3 Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.
Job Responsibility:
Perform general administrative tasks such as typing, managing time entries, scheduling meetings, and maintaining files
Collaborate with attorneys and clients to support transaction-related activities
Utilize legal software tools like Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and ACRIS to manage and process case information
Handle billing functions and manage calendar scheduling efficiently
Ensure all documents are properly formatted and organized for ease of access
Support communication efforts within the legal department to maintain workflow efficiency
Requirements:
Proven experience as a legal assistant, preferably in corporate legal settings
Proficiency with legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and ACRIS
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Familiarity with case management systems and billing processes
Knowledge of corporate transactions and legal documentation requirements
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an environment that values attention to detail
Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules, including occasional remote work
