Immigration law firm is looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in San Jose, California. In this Legal Assistant role, you will play a crucial part in supporting attorneys and foreign nationals through the immigration application process. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and submit immigration applications with precision and attention to detail
Communicate effectively with foreign nationals to gather necessary documentation and provide updates
Assist attorneys by managing case files and ensuring accurate data entry
Organize and maintain filing systems to ensure easy access to critical information
Handle administrative tasks to support day-to-day operations within the legal team
Monitor application deadlines and ensure timely submissions
Maintain compliance with regulations and legal standards throughout the application process
Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and optimize efficiency

Requirements:

Bachelors degree OR 1-2+ years of legal or administrative experience
Must be willing to work on-site
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
