We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. This long-term contract role requires hands-on support with corporate legal transactions and day-to-day administrative duties. The ideal candidate will bring attention to detail, expertise in legal documentation, and a commitment to ensuring smooth operations.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and organize essential documents for corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, sales, and restructurings
Assist in closing procedures for various corporate deals by ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
Manage daily administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, typing correspondence, and maintaining organized filing systems
Handle time entry and billing functions effectively to support accurate tracking and invoicing
Coordinate calendars to ensure seamless scheduling of appointments and deadlines
Provide support with claim administration and case management using relevant software tools
Communicate with clients to address inquiries and maintain strong, detail-oriented relationships
Utilize software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and ACRIS for efficient document preparation and management
Ensure compliance with legal standards and procedures in all assigned tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, particularly in corporate legal transactions
Proficiency in using software tools such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and case management systems
Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) and CompuLaw
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
Knowledge of billing functions and time entry processes
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
Availability to work onsite in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, with potential remote flexibility 1-2 days per week
