We are seeking a Legal Assistant to support a busy law firm in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who can blend strong administrative capabilities with hands-on legal support in a fast-paced Family Law practice. The firm values sound judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. This position is fully onsite.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, organize, and maintain case files, pleadings, and supporting documentation with a high level of accuracy
Draft correspondence, client communications, and routine legal documents for attorney review
Manage court filings and related submissions, including electronic filing, while tracking deadlines and ensuring timely follow-up
Provide day-to-day support on Family Law matters, including divorce, custody, and support cases, assisting with document preparation and case coordination
Communicate with clients in a professional and empathetic manner, gathering information and responding to routine inquiries
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, discovery materials, and other case-related documentation
Coordinate attorney calendars, court dates, client meetings, and general administrative functions in a fully in-office environment.
Requirements:
Prior experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a comparable legal support role
Familiarity with court procedures, e-filing systems, and legal document management
Strong written communication skills with attention to detail in drafting correspondence and legal documents
Experience supporting Family Law matters preferred
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Strong client service skills and ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and team members
Comfortable working onsite on a permanent basis in Boston, Massachusetts.
