A boutique law firm in San Jose, California is seeking a Legal Assistant to support multiple attorneys in its civil litigation practice. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can manage competing priorities and provide strong administrative and case support in a fast-paced legal environment. Job Responsibility
Provide day-to-day support to multiple civil litigation attorneys
Prepare, format, revise, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
File documents with state and federal courts, including electronic court filings
Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, court dates, and case files
Coordinate hearings, depositions, meetings, and other case-related scheduling
Assist with drafting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
Communicate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors
Track deadlines and help ensure timely filings and case support throughout the litigation process
Provide general administrative support as needed
Requirements
Prior experience as a legal assistant or litigation secretary in a law firm
Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a civil litigation practice
Strong knowledge of legal document formatting and court rules
Court e-filing experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
