Robert Half is looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join our client on a contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will provide essential support to board operations, legal workflows, and corporate records management. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of an investment management company through meticulous organization and legal expertise.

Job Responsibility

  • Organize and prepare materials for board meetings, ensuring smooth execution of logistics and related activities
  • Provide assistance with corporate secretary duties, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and managing timelines
  • Support the documentation and preparation process for upcoming board meetings, including those in April
  • Manage corporate records in collaboration with the Assistant Secretary to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Handle claims management tasks, maintaining thorough documentation and tracking processes
  • Assist with disclosure processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Facilitate the rollout and tracking of legal workflows, including training and execution
  • Provide general administrative and paralegal support to legal operations, contributing to overall efficiency

Requirements

  • Must have experience assisting at a board meeting
  • Proven experience in calendar management and scheduling for corporate or commercial purposes
  • Strong understanding of corporate bylaws and compliance standards
  • Knowledge of legal operations related to charities and claims management
  • Ability to support disclosure processes with attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing timelines and legal workflows
  • Proficiency in handling corporate records and documentation
