We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Weymouth, Massachusetts. This role involves providing critical administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of legal services, with a focus on trusts and estates. The ideal candidate will excel at calendar management, client communication, and maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, deadlines, and appointments
Prepare and organize documentation related to trusts and estates cases
Serve as the first point of contact by handling receptionist duties such as greeting clients, answering calls, and directing inquiries
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to draft, edit, and format legal correspondence and reports
Coordinate client services by maintaining records, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely follow-up
Support day-to-day administrative tasks to optimize office efficiency
Assist in filing and organizing legal documents to ensure proper record-keeping
Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and external parties to facilitate case progress
Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment as needed
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Requirements:
Proven experience in a legal assistant or administrative role, preferably with trusts and estates
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
