We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy manufacturing organization in Houston, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys working with legal records and administrative processes, and can manage large volumes of information with precision. The person in this role will help keep legal documentation organized, support internal coordination, and ensure records and reports are maintained accurately. Strong technical ability, sound judgment with confidential materials, and a consistent focus on accuracy will be essential for success.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate legal team records by entering, updating, and verifying information in Monday.com within required timelines
Organize and preserve both electronic and paper documentation so legal files remain accessible, complete, and compliant with company standards
Process large amounts of data with speed and precision while checking entries for completeness and correctness
Prepare reports, draft routine legal and administrative documents, and provide day-to-day support for departmental operations
Use office technology and standard business software to create correspondence, manage files, and assist with document handling
Coordinate calendars, arrange meetings, record key discussion points, and help streamline communication across the legal group and partner departments
Build productive working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and outside contacts to support smooth information flow
Handle sensitive legal and business information with discretion and follow established confidentiality practices at all times
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in legal support, administrative support, or a related role with substantial data entry responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to perform high-volume data entry work with strong accuracy and attention to detail
Hands-on experience with Monday.com or similar project management platforms used for tracking information and workflows
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to manage confidential information responsibly and exercise sound judgment in a detail-oriented setting
Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and external contacts
Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
