We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support attorneys and legal staff with administrative and clerical tasks. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient operation of a legal office by managing documents, coordinating schedules, and assisting with case preparation.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating court dates
Prepare, draft, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports
File legal documents with courts (e-filing and manual filing) and maintain accurate case files
Conduct basic legal research and gather supporting documentation as needed
Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties professionally and confidentially
Track deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on case-related activities
Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems
Assist with billing, time entry, and expense tracking as needed
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar role
Knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and court procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
