We are seeking a confident, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team full time, based in our Putney office. Job Responsibility

  • Actively managing a small case load of cases
  • Supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters
  • Drafting legal documents, instructions, court bundles and schedules
  • Undertaking chargeable work as a fee earner
  • Preparing reports for clients
  • Providing assistance with marketing activities
  • Undertaking appropriate training

Requirements

  • Law Graduate and or working towards
  • Experience within an office environment or law firm is a must
  • Excellent IT and keyboard skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent team player

  • Monitor aging reports and own high level escalations for delinquent accounts and vendor disputes. Analyze DSO trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Oversee the daily application of payments to ensure 100% accuracy and internal control compliance
  • Manage and resolve unapplied cash and payment discrepancies through cross functional collaboration
  • Manage bank reconciling items related to AR and ensure all subledger balances match the general ledger

  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using financial statements, D&B reports, and trade references
