Job Responsibility
Generate demand letters and track the limitation period
Prepare and file Civil Claims, Default Judgments, and Affidavits of Debt at Alberta Court of King's Bench
Prepare Writs of Enforcement, Garnishment Orders, and Examination of Debtor applications
Act as daily liaison to financial institution client recovery teams
Review debtor disputes and process settlements within client authority limits
Ensure compliance and run monthly limitation reports
Requirements
1–3+ years of experience in Alberta debt recovery, collections, or creditors' rights
Legal Assistant diploma or paralegal certificate from an Alberta institution
Familiar with Alberta Court of King's Bench civil forms and e-filing (ACMS)
Experience with case management software
