We are currently partnering with two highly regarded law firms in Newcastle to recruit experienced Legal Assistants / Legal Secretaries across a broad range of practice areas. These roles will see you providing high-level administrative and legal support to fee earners across multiple areas of law, including (but not limited to): Commercial; Property & Conveyancing; Litigation & Dispute Resolution; Wills & Estates; Family Law; Insurance & General Liability; Coal Mining; Employment & Workplace Relations. You will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of matters and be valued as an integral part of the legal team.
Job Responsibility:
End-to-end file management and document preparation
Drafting and amending legal documents and correspondence
Diary management, scheduling and court bookings
Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and external stakeholders
Billing, time entry and matter administration
General administrative support to partners and lawyers
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident communicator with a professional client-facing manner
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A proactive and team-oriented approach
