Job Description

Beacon Hill Legal is staffing a contract-to-hire Legal Assistant position for a boutique law firm based in Norfolk, VA. This Legal Assistant will support the firm’s Collections Compliance department.

Job Responsibility

  • Reviewing and managing escalated consumer matters (including disputes, complaints, fraud claims, bankruptcy, and deceased accounts)
  • Accurately documenting account activity
  • Preparing consumer correspondence
  • Escalating issues to clients within required deadlines

Requirements

1+ years of debt collections and/or bankruptcy experience, within a law firm or corporate legal setting
