Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate for the position of "Legal and Compliance Professional" for our global business partner with partnership for which we are providing consultancy services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our global legal and compliance operations while working with diverse stakeholders in a dynamic financial services environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute monitoring, controlling, and reporting tasks aligned with global and local compliance programs, ensuring adherence to anti-money laundering regulations and related activities
  • Track and analyze local and global legal/compliance developments
  • Maintain expertise in regulations from Banking and Anti-Money-Laundering Authorities, Personal Data Protection Board, and Competition Board
  • Share knowledge updates with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, keep the company and all stakeholders up-to-date in that regard and, where necessary, communicate with BRSA
  • Deliver business-focused legal solutions and expert advice to business units
  • Handle various corporate and finance documents, including loan agreements, security contracts, service level agreements, and commercial contracts
  • Provide transactional support, legislative research, and draft legal opinions
  • Develop and implement legal and compliance policies procedures and guidance
  • Conduct internal training sessions
  • Process official notifications, manage disputes and litigation, coordinate with external counsels as needed, and collaborate with legal/compliance colleagues across global network

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer admitted to the Turkish Bar
  • Minimum of 5 years of in-house legal and compliance experience, preferably in banking or finance
  • Experienced in processes, requirements, and communication with the BRSA
  • Results-driven mindset with self-motivation and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellence in operating within dynamic corporate environments
  • Verbal and written English proficiency
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior that reflects company values
  • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities
