Our ID Team plays a crucial role in verifying client identities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a smooth home‑moving journey for thousands of customers each year. As an ID Specialist, you’ll work closely with our Conveyancers, Compliance Teams, clients, and external ID providers. You’ll take ownership of identity checks, support complex cases, and act as a subject matter expert within a fast-paced and supportive team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Processing identity checks using third‑party ID providers
  • Working through daily tasks to support team KPIs and service levels
  • Uploading ID results and communicating outcomes clearly to clients and Conveyancers
  • Liaising with clients and compliance teams on complex or exceptional cases
  • Handling inbound and outbound calls in a professional manner
  • Managing incoming and outgoing original ID documents
  • Proactively chasing third parties by phone and email
  • Delivering high-quality administrative support
  • Supporting team training (including colleagues in India)
  • Assisting with escalations and risk-based ID decisions
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, raising insights and suggestions
  • Providing evening and weekend cover when required

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement

  • Experience in an AML or identity‑verification environment
  • Understanding of regulatory ID requirements in a legal or conveyancing setting

  • undertake and review pre-contract searches to identify any legal or practical issues affecting the property, including local authority matters, leases, easements, covenants, mortgages, land tax obligations, flood or subsidence risks, and structural liabilities
  • review mortgage instructions from lenders and carry out any associated tasks in line with their requirements
  • perform general administrative duties across the department as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team
