Robert Half is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys within a busy litigation practice group on a temporary basis. This role will primarily support senior attorneys, including IP Litigation and Labor & Employment, while also assisting across the broader litigation team as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Provide high-level administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys
Draft, format, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, reports, binders, and presentations
Perform advanced formatting in Microsoft Word, including: Redlining/blacklining, Tables of contents and authorities, Document comparisons and footnotes
Handle state and federal court e-filings
Maintain and organize electronic case files (iManage and shared systems)
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate Zoom/conference calls
Track litigation deadlines and maintain docket/case status reports
Coordinate travel arrangements and conference registrations
Process expense reimbursements and administrative requests
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, vendors, and internal teams
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years of litigation legal administrative/secretarial experience
Strong understanding of litigation terminology and court filing procedures
Experience with New York State and Federal Court e-filing highly preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with systems such as iManage, Intapp, or Aderant is a plus
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
