A prestigious San Francisco–based law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support its busy practice groups. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers exposure to a large firm environment with a collaborative team and high-volume workflow. The ideal candidate is proactive, polished, and experienced in providing administrative and clerical support to attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and travel coordination
Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
Manage attorney calendars and monitor deadlines to ensure timely filings and deliverables
Handle document management, including filing (electronic and physical), scanning, and organization
Coordinate client communications, including scheduling calls and responding to inquiries
Assist with preparing materials for meetings, hearings, and client presentations
Support billing processes, including time entry, expense tracking, and invoice coordination
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and firm information
Order office supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a legal administrative assistant, preferably within a large law firm
Strong understanding of legal office procedures and administrative workflows
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff
High school diploma required
bachelor’s degree preferred
Ability to work onsite in San Francisco (hybrid flexibility may be available)
