A San Francisco–based personal injury law firm is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support its civil litigation team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for a legal admin who enjoys being a central support resource in a fast-paced, plaintiff-side law firm environment. The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative and operational support to attorneys and legal staff, assisting with case coordination, document handling, and office operations. While experience in personal injury or litigation is preferred, candidates with administrative experience in any legal practice area are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff
Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence and legal documents
Assist with basic court filings and document submissions as directed
Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments
Answer phones, direct calls, and interact professionally with clients and vendors
Assist with intake forms, record requests, and general case coordination
Support office operations, including supplies, records management, and special projects
Requirements:
1–3+ years of experience as a legal administrative assistant, legal receptionist, or similar role
Prior experience in a law firm or legal services environment required
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to work on-site in the San Francisco office five days per week
Nice to have:
Exposure to civil litigation or personal injury matters preferred
familiarity with legal case management systems a plus
