A nationally recognized litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support its litigation team in the Edwardsville office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and has prior litigation support experience.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative and secretarial support to attorneys and paralegals
Format briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
File documents in state and federal courts (e-filing experience required)
Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to filing or distribution
Maintain and update client files and records
Manage attorney calendars in Outlook, including scheduling deadlines and appointments
Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare reimbursement and mileage requests
Enter, review, and revise timekeeper timesheets, including litigation codes
Review vendor invoices and prepare accurate check requests
Assist with conflict checks and intake submissions
Provide responsive phone support to attorneys
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with PACER, File & Serve, Odyssey, and iManage (Aderant a plus)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Dependable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines
Strong customer service mindset and team-oriented approach
