Job Description:

We’re looking for qualified lawyers to bring their real-world experience into the classroom as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. Based at our Moorgate campus, you’ll be working in the heart of London’s legal and financial district. This role is open to both qualified solicitors and barristers and offers far more than a traditional teaching remit. Alongside teaching and assessing on the BPC and our wider vocational programmes, there are opportunities to contribute to the delivery of Professional Development courses for practitioners, design and assess on our CILeX programme, and, as the sole provider of the Higher Rights qualification, play a key role in Higher Rights assessment design and assessment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach on our courses and act as an academic coach to students and signpost students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey
  • Deliver high quality teaching and support for learning, including communication with other academics for the continuous improvement of teaching and student support
  • Identify the need for developing the content, structure, assessment within modules with colleagues and make proposals on how this should be achieved
  • Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning
  • Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design
  • Routinely communicate complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers using high level skills
  • Contribute to the delivery of Professional Development courses for practitioners
  • Design and assess on our CILeX programme
  • Play a key role in Higher Rights assessment design and assessment
