Job Description

The School of Construction & the Built Environment delivers a broad, high quality technical curriculum across 16–18, adult, and apprenticeship provision. Our focus is on developing industry ready learners through practical, hands on skills training & innovate theoretical deliver supported by strong employer partnerships and modern practical skills environments. We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable individual who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning within Professional Construction and Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industry practice and will be able to translate this into engaging, structured learning that develops learners' technical knowledge, skills, and behaviours. You will be responsible for planning and delivering both theory and practical sessions, ensuring curriculum intent is clear, sequencing supports progression, and assessment drives achievement. You will contribute to a professional, industry-aligned learning environment, preparing learners for progression into employment, apprenticeships, or higher level study. Working closely with curriculum leaders and employer partners, you will support the ongoing development of the Civil Engineering curriculum, ensuring it reflects current industry standards and regional skills priorities. A strong focus on quality, consistency, and learner outcomes is essential, alongside effective communication, organisation, and a commitment to continuous improvement. A positive, professional approach and the ability to inspire learners and support colleagues will be key to success in this role.
