Reporting to the Chair of the Department of History, the Lecturer in US History requires teaching a 4/5 load (90% of effort), with 10% devoted to service. The position is a 10-month renewable Lecturer appointment, non-tenure track, with opportunities for promotion.

Contribute to the vibrant university community by engaging students, participating in events, and performing other responsibilities on-campus
May be required to teach, conduct research, or perform service duties on any of the three campuses
Requirements:
Masters degree in History, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in History, by August 1, 2026
Qualifications to teach US history survey courses as well as courses in Historical Methods
Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development
