The University of Suffolk is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Physiotherapy to join our School of Health, Sciences and Society. As a Lecturer in Physiotherapy, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to both full-time and part-time students. You will contribute to curriculum development, engage in research and scholarship, and work collaboratively with practice partners to ensure our students are well-prepared for their careers in healthcare.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging and evidence-based teaching, learning, and assessment on our nursing programmes
Develop and enhance course materials to ensure they align with best practices and industry standards
Provide pastoral and academic support to students, guiding them through their educational journey
Engage in scholarly activity and research to enhance subject knowledge and teaching quality
Contribute to programme development, ensuring courses meet professional and regulatory requirements
Participate in student recruitment activities, such as open days and outreach events
Build and maintain strong relationships with practice partners to ensure students receive excellent clinical placements
Take an active role in academic administration, including supporting students as a personal academic coach, and module coordination
Ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment that reflects the University’s commitment to equality, diversity, and student success
Requirements:
A postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject
Current registration as a physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Experience in teaching, mentoring, and supporting students in an academic or clinical setting
A strong understanding of physiotherapy and evidence-based practice
A commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience
