An exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of engineers by teaching technical engineering and related subjects across both Further and Higher Education levels! The Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering is a dynamic role involving the delivery of high-quality engineering education, with the integration of essential English and maths skills where appropriate.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Possess a Level 6 qualification or higher and/or a relevant professional qualification, or equivalent
  • Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics (e.g. GCSE Grade 4/C or above, CSE Level 1, O-Level Grade C or above, or Level 2 Adult Literacy/Numeracy, or equivalent)
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification
  • Proven experience within the mechanical or manufacturing engineering sector
  • Competent in using CAD and/or other relevant design software tools
  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or mentoring capacity
