Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking two, full-time Lecturer positions in Law to join our internationally respected Law School - known for its tradition of Critical Legal scholarship - beginning Autumn 2026.
Job Responsibility:
Teaching across any of the 7 Foundations of Legal Knowledge, as well as contributing the curriculum more broadly based on School need and individual expertise
Developing research objectives, projects and proposals (with the assistance of a mentor if required) whilst on academic probation
writing up research work for publication
and identifying sources of funding and contribute to the process of securing funds
Contribute to the leadership and management of the School’s academic activities, as appropriate to your level of seniority (in roles such as admissions tutor
programme director, careers lead, etc.)
Employing innovations in teaching and learning, to meet the learning needs of students, through the development of teaching materials, forms of pedagogy, or appropriate teaching collaborations
Requirements:
Teaching across any of the 7 Foundations of Legal Knowledge

Writing up research work for publication
