MATERNITY COVER - TEMPORARY UP TO 12 MONTHS’ OR UNTIL THE CURRENT POST HOLDER RETURNS. Are you passionate about hairdressing? Would you like to pass on your knowledge and expertise onto the next generation of Hairdressing students? Are you looking for a work opportunity within Further Education? We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated individual to the role of Lecturer in Hairdressing. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding area of the curriculum, which boasts continued learner success and achievement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the success, achievement and enjoyment of our learners on our hairdressing programmes
  • Develop curriculum
  • Maintain excellent employer links
  • Provide progression opportunities to our current curriculum offer
  • Support colleagues and students, through both onsite and blended learning opportunities

Requirements:

  • Have experience of teaching and motivating FE students
  • Have experience in a hairdressing background
  • Hold a relevant degree
  • Have a relevant teaching qualification or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have GCSE Maths and English (A*-C)
  • Be well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have experience of and be able to deliver HE lectures within the required evenings of the curriculum provision
