Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Problem solving abilities in order to resolve issues independently or collaboratively with colleagues
Previous experience in a similar role or a lengthy background within English and Maths (including GCSE)
The ability to manage behaviour and set high expectations for students
English and Maths qualifications are a must
Level 5 Certificate in Education or equivalent or be willing to work towards

Job Responsibility

Designing and delivering lessons and assessing students' progress through assignments/exams
Play a key role in curriculum development, staying updated with the curriculum and standards
Deliver English and Maths Functional skills qualifications to apprentices at our Highbury and North Harbour campuses
Providing constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their skills and achieve learning outcomes
Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum design, program development and quality assurance initiatives
Represent COPC with the upmost professionalism with every interaction
Handling of sensitive information with confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equality and respect among all members of the college community
