Lecturer in Fashion Management: Research Methods

Teaching research methods across the Leadership and Management Programme, from undergraduate BSc through to MBA level, means equipping students at all career stages with the ability to think critically, gather evidence, and make decisions informed by rigorous research. Over the course of their studies, you'll see undergraduates develop from learning foundational research concepts to experienced MBA students conducting sophisticated inquiry. Rather than teaching research as a set of technical procedures, this role emphasises research as critical thinking. Students will explore how to ask important questions, design robust inquiries, and apply qualitative and quantitative methods to real business challenges in the fashion industry. You'll supervise student research projects and dissertations across all three levels, directly supporting the quality and rigour of independent work. Beyond teaching, you'll contribute to curriculum development with the wider course team and support activities that enhance student learning. The part-time structure offers flexibility to maintain active engagement with research practice or professional work, ensuring your teaching reflects contemporary developments in research methodology.
