Job Description

As a Lecturer in English here at COPC, your role will encompass various responsibilities aimed at providing the very best of learning experiences to our students. Your role will entail designing and delivering lessons and assessing students' progress through assignments / exams. You will also play a key role in curriculum development, staying updated with the GCSE English Language curriculum and standards to ensure students receive relevant and up to date teaching and learning.

Job Responsibility

  • To deliver English functional skills and GCSE qualifications to 16-19 year old construction and vocational learners
  • Providing constructive feedback and support to students
  • Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum design, program development and quality assurance initiatives
  • Represent COPC with the upmost professionalism
  • Handling of sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a lengthy background within English (including GCSE)
  • The ability to manage behaviour and set high expectations for students
  • English qualifications are a must
  • Level 5 Certificate in Education or equivalent or be willing to work towards
