We are seeking a Lecturer in Engineering Manufacturing to join our team. In this role you will, deliver and assess practical Engineering and Manufacturing programmes, supported by high-quality theoretical teaching, across Levels 1–3 and apprenticeship provision. You will also contribute to course leadership and play an active role in the ongoing development and improvement of the curriculum within the department.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver and assess engaging practical and theoretical Engineering sessions across Levels 1–3 for full-time students and apprentices
Plan and deliver teaching and learning activities that meet the needs of individual learners, maintaining accurate attendance records and high standards of behaviour
Set, mark, and track coursework and assessments, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping
Support students’ academic progress and wellbeing, contributing to reports and progress reviews, and making referrals to specialist services where appropriate
Maintain high expectations of learner performance, commitment, and conduct, taking action to uphold standards
Contribute to programme teams, committees, and curriculum development, helping to maintain and enhance course quality
Promote programmes through open evenings, careers events, school visits, and other marketing activities
Continuously evaluate and improve teaching and learning through engagement with quality assurance, observation, and professional development activities
Requirements:
Industrial experience within the engineering manufacturing sector
Level 3 or above professional Engineering qualification
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above
