We are currently looking for a Lecturer to teach Electrical Installation at the City of Portsmouth College at our North Harbour Campus. A Lecturer play the largest part in a student's experience in education. As a Lecturer you help your learners thrive and reach their aspirational careers and dreams! Job Responsibility:
To teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives
Demonstrating and teaching practical skills in our workshops
Delivering theoretical lessons to support the practical applications
To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success
To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes
Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area
Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject
Relevant industry experience
Experience of teaching / training and assessing students with learning difficulties and disabilities at Entry Level in relation to Independent Living and Work Skills
Hold a teaching qualification at L5 or be willing to work towards
Ability to meet targets within set timescales
Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
Computer literate
