Job Responsibility
Teaching and assessing Counselling programmes across a range of levels
Delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment using a variety of innovative and learner-centred approaches
Supporting learner progress through effective tutorial, coaching and pastoral support
Monitoring, tracking and recording learner achievement and attendance in line with college requirements
Developing schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources that promote learner engagement and success
Contributing to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of teaching, learning and assessment
Participating in learner recruitment, interviews, enrolment, induction and open events
Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion within all aspects of teaching and learner support
Requirements
A degree or professional qualification in Counselling or a related subject
A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
Recent and relevant experience teaching Counselling programmes from Level 2 to Level 6
Experience of delivering and assessing Counselling qualifications
Excellent teaching, learning and assessment practice
Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
Good IT and administrative skills, including maintaining accurate learner records
A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and learner success
