The overall purpose of this role is to contribute towards teaching in the Department of Computer Science and in the design, development, and implementation of tools, processes and infrastructure that support the delivery and management of teaching within the Department and the School of Engineering.
Job Responsibility:
Contribute towards teaching in the Department of Computer Science
Design, development, and implementation of tools, processes and infrastructure that support the delivery and management of teaching within the Department and the School of Engineering
Delivery of teaching activities such as synchronous sessions, workshops, practical sessions, project supervision, clinics, tutorials, seminars
Creation of blended learning materials
Provide leadership and support for the development, hardening, and roll out of tool support across the School of Engineering
Identify opportunities and contribute to the design and implementation of tools for other aspects of the School’s activities
Liaison with both eLearning and IT support services teams
Design and deliver innovative UG/PG topics
Requirements:
Excellent pedagogic, communication and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively with undergraduate and postgraduate students, and academic staff colleagues
Self-motivated person that can use their initiative to work flexibly on their own or as part of a team
Strong background in general computer science
Enthusiastic about the design and application of non-traditional teaching methods
Excellent software engineering skills
Ability to work with academic and professional services colleagues
