We are seeking a Lecturer to join our team. In this role you will undertake teaching, learning and curriculum development responsibilities across designated Further and Higher Education programmes. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, inclusive education that promotes academic excellence, student engagement and positive progression outcomes. You will plan, prepare and deliver effective teaching and learning sessions across a range of levels, ensuring curriculum content remains current, relevant and aligned with awarding body requirements and College standards. You will create a supportive and engaging learning environment that enables students to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence, helping them to achieve their full academic and professional potential.
Job Responsibility
Undertake teaching, learning and curriculum development responsibilities across designated Further and Higher Education programmes
Deliver high-quality, inclusive education that promotes academic excellence, student engagement and positive progression outcomes
Plan, prepare and deliver effective teaching and learning sessions across a range of levels
Ensure curriculum content remains current, relevant and aligned with awarding body requirements and College standards
Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that enables students to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence
Designing, developing, and reviewing curriculum materials in line with programme specifications and quality assurance frameworks
Delivering engaging and innovative teaching using a variety of pedagogical approaches to meet diverse learner needs
Assessing student work in accordance with established criteria and providing timely, constructive feedback to support progress and achievement
Monitoring and tracking student performance, implementing appropriate interventions where necessary
Contributing to quality improvement processes, including course review, standardisation, moderation, and compliance activities
To reflect continuously and improve the quality of teaching and learning within your sessions
Utilising and developing resources to support student achievement
Requirements
Education to degree level and/or above in required subject or equivalent
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
Experience of working with young people, providing guidance, support, and fostering positive learning and development outcomes
Experience of teaching, training, or facilitating learning sessions, with the ability to engage learners effectively and promote knowledge and skills development
