Job Responsibility

  • To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements
  • To deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes including personal development curriculum, enrichment activities and tutor support
  • To deliver in the FE, HE, T Levels and Adult Learning business area as required by the demands of the curriculum
  • Producing schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning
  • To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students' learning carried out by the course team
  • To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students
  • To work proactively towards the development of new programmes and the improvement of courses within Business, enabling growth and protecting quality of provision
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree in Business or a related subject
  • Teaching Qualification (or willingness to work towards a teacher qualification Level 5)
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • Demonstrate e-literacy and competence in using the Microsoft Office Suite including Teams
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to fulfilling quality assurance requirements of awarding bodies and the College
  • Demonstrate proven evidence of delivering good to outstanding learning experiences
