We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Applied Sport Science to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and development of the next generation of sport scientists, working within a supportive and collaborative environment. We are particularly keen to welcome a new colleague who can bring first-hand experience of working with athletes and/or team sport players and translate that experience into engaging, authentic learning opportunities for our students. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching across our undergraduate sport science courses, helping students understand how sport science can be applied to enhance athlete preparation, performance, and recovery. Given the broad nature of sport science education, teaching responsibilities are likely to include areas such as performance physiology, aspects of coaching practice, and the use of performance data to inform decision-making. In addition to teaching, the post holder will contribute to the academic life of the School through participation in module leadership, quality assurance activities, student support, and other administrative responsibilities. The role also includes maintaining an active research profile through scholarly activity and the publication of research outputs.
