The Early Years department at Preston College is recruiting for a Lecturer in Early Years to support and develop 16-18 students across a range of industry skills. Due to growth and to meet the skills needs of Lancashire, this is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing curriculum team delivering responsive and flexible provision. You will deliver practical and theoretical sessions that support students to gain skills for employment, career change, or progression within the Early Years sector. Our provision includes entry level through to Level 1/2 and T'Level provision, with a strong focus on employability, confidence building, and progression into work or further study. We are seeking an individual with passion, drive, and enthusiasm to support 16-18 learners from a range of backgrounds. You will be able to adapt your teaching to meet individual needs and create an inclusive learning environment that supports all students to succeed and progress. The ideal candidate will have strong occupational competence across the full range of Early Years provision and be qualified to Level 3 in a relevant area. A teaching qualification is desirable; however, if you do not currently hold one, we will support you to achieve this through funded training and development. At Preston College our vision is 'to transform lives through education', and we take great pride in supporting all of our students to achieve the qualifications they need, alongside the development of technical skills and knowledge that employers and universities are looking for. We are rated Good by Ofsted and have been recognised as making a 'strong' contribution to skills. We are ambitious in seeking excellent outcomes for our students, communities, employers and staff. We have a strong College culture, underpinned by five key values developed with our diverse body of staff; Welcoming and inclusive; Supportive and compassionate; Aspirational for our learners, ourselves and each other; Act with integrity and transparency; Be accountable. With Outstanding financial health, the College provides generous terms and conditions that are intended to attract, motivate and retain the best people in delivery of our strategic objectives. Our Board of Governors is committed to an ambitious Three Year Plan, which sets out our aspirations from 2023 to 2026, currently being updated for the next three years.
