You will deliver outstanding Computing provision to a diverse cohort of full-time learners, creating an exceptional student experience that supports engagement, progression, and positive achievement outcomes. Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will undertake a range of administrative and development duties that contribute to the continuous improvement of standards, learner achievement, and the overall quality of the learner experience.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver and teach L1 to HND to agreed success
Regularly review and monitor the attendance and progress of learners and follow up as required to ensure learners achieve their
Carry out, collate and feedback initial and/or diagnostic assessments to identify students’ ILP and support as required, providing differentiated learning strategies to enable students to achieve their primary learning
Provide assignment and assessment material appropriate to each specific
Evaluate and assess (formative and summative) the work of learners in relation to the curriculum criteria and provide timely constructive and helpful learner
Maintain quality systems related to the teaching of Computing including designing work schemes, lesson plans, assessment plans and assessment
Update and maintain electronic documentation to support teaching and learning, assessment and tracking of learner
Requirements:
Experience of working in a teaching or training environment
Excellent interpersonal skills at an individual or group level
Ability to work independently using own initiative or within a team
An understanding of and commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity
Knowledge and/or competencies of health and safety as relevant to the post and a commitment to safeguarding the health and safety of learners and others
Teaching qualification e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, or DTLLs, or a firm commitment to achieve a Diploma in Education and Training (DET)
Have a minimum Level 4 qualification in an IT/Computing area
Level 2 qualification (GCSE A* – C, or equivalent) in Maths and English or a willingness to attain these qualifications with the support of the College
