Undertake all core teaching, learning, assessment, and curriculum development responsibilities associated with the Lecturer role while providing academic leadership and operational oversight across designated Further and Higher Education programmes
Responsible for ensuring the overall quality, coherence, and performance of the programme, delivering an outstanding educational experience that promotes academic excellence, student engagement, retention, achievement, and progression
Lead on curriculum design, annual monitoring, and continuous quality improvement, ensuring that programme content remains current, industry-informed, and fully aligned with awarding organisation requirements, institutional policies, and regulatory frameworks
Coordinate module delivery, oversee assessment and quality assurance processes, support and mentor teaching staff, and use student achievement and progression data to drive evidence-based enhancement initiatives
Acting as the primary academic point of contact for students, colleagues, employers, and external stakeholders
Responsible for the whole study programme overseeing the academic quality, delivery, enrichment, student outcomes and course administration
Monitor standards of students' work against awarding organisation guidelines and to raise achievement levels
Working with area leadership teams to ensure management of quality assurance and provision
Lead on modelling best practise through the development of subject curricula to include Technology Enhanced Learning and innovative delivery methods
Designing, developing, and reviewing curriculum materials in line with programme specifications and quality assurance frameworks
Delivering engaging and innovative teaching using a variety of pedagogical approaches to meet diverse learner needs
Requirements
Proven leadership experience, including team management, decision-making, and the ability to motivate and guide others
Experience of working with young people
Teaching or delivering training experience
Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in required subject or equivalent OR Education to degree level and/or above in required subject or equivalent
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
Level 5 Teaching Qualification/ completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course
