Job Description

We are looking for a Lecturer in Computing to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of £31,410 to £43,440 per annum.

Job Responsibility

  • To carry out formal scheduled teaching and complete registers for every lesson
  • To act as a personal tutor to a group/s of students
  • To prepare learning materials and students’ assignments
  • Timely and accurate marking of students’ work and examinations, moderation, verification and the provision of developmental feedback

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a Computer Science/IT related subject
  • Recognised full teaching qualification
  • Qualification in English at Level 2 or above
  • Qualification in Maths at Level 2 or above
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of teaching strategies and techniques
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to use IT to support learners in a flexible learning environment including tracking learner progress
