The Construction and Built Environment School at Preston College is recruiting for a Lecturer in Brickwork to inspire and engage the next generation. Teaching Levels 1 to 3, you will teach your learners through a programme of practical and theoretical sessions. We are seeking someone with passion, drive and enthusiasm to join our construction teaching team as we continue to provide the local community with learning opportunities that support their career goals. You will be able to adapt your teaching to ensure that everyone succeeds and progresses on their learning journey. The ideal candidates will be able to evidence their skills and technical knowledge of brickwork and will be qualified to Level 3 in a relevant occupational area. A teaching qualification is desirable, but if you don't have one and are willing to work towards achieving one then we will support you to do so, both financially and academically. At Preston College our vision is 'to transform lives through education', and we take great pride in supporting all of our students to achieve the qualifications they need, alongside the development of technical skills and knowledge that employers and universities are looking for. We are rated Good by Ofsted and have been recognised as making a 'strong' contribution to skills. We are ambitious in seeking excellent outcomes for our students, communities, employers and staff. We have a strong College culture, underpinned by five key values developed with our diverse body of staff; Welcoming and inclusive; Supportive and compassionate; Aspirational for our learners, ourselves and each other; Act with integrity and transparency; Be accountable. With Outstanding financial health, the College provides generous terms and conditions that are intended to attract, motivate and retain the best people in delivery of our strategic objectives. Our Board of Governors is committed to an ambitious Three Year Plan, which sets out our aspirations from 2023 to 2026, currently being updated for the next three years.
