Assistant lecturers may publish research papers and present their work at conferences, but the primary research activity will be directed to completing their Masters’ or doctoral requirements. They will be able to teach units, develop teaching materials but are normally not required to develop curriculum. Assistant Lecturers are full members of their department and should be starting to take on limited administrative tasks. A Lecturer is qualified to Masters’ level and has expertise in a particular subject which is taught proficiently at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level programmes. A Lecturer is research-active and is beginning to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals. A Lecturer is involved in the work of their Department and takes on administrative roles that assist the Department to function.

Requirements
Bachelor’s in Nursing and Postgraduate Certificate/ Diploma in Midwifery or any Nursing field.
OR Bachelor’s in Nursing and PG Diploma in any related health discipline.
OR Bachelor’s in Nursing with Graduate Certificate in Tertiary teaching.
Must be Registered by the Fiji Nursing Council.
3 years full time equivalent relevant clinical practice experience.
OR Bachelor’s in Nursing and Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery and registered by the Fiji Nursing Council.
OR Bachelor’s in Nursing and Masters in any Health-related field or Master’s in Education.
Industrial/clinical experience in your area of expertise.
Provide evidence of undertaking consultancies in your area of expertise
6 years’ full time equivalent relevant clinical practice or university teaching experience.
