Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer and Football Coach to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine teaching excellence with high quality football coaching, supporting learners both in the classroom and on the pitch.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging, high quality lessons that meet Academy standards, including planning, assessment, feedback and resource development
  • Maintain professional standards at all times within both classroom and football environments
  • Monitor learner progress, attendance, punctuality and assignment completion, ensuring accurate and timely record keeping
  • Use Academy and funding provider systems including Guru, Moodle, Evolve, Sports Session Planner and sports science equipment
  • Provide individual and small group learner support where required
  • Report learner progress to the Site Lead, funding providers, parents, carers and external agencies
  • Provide cover for absent teaching staff when necessary
  • Attend parents' evenings, open days, recruitment events and continuing professional development activities
  • Deliver football coaching and team management responsibilities as directed by the Site Lead and Director of Football
  • Implement and adhere to the Academy Football Curriculum
  • Complete all football administration, including registers, player reports and team reports
  • Support the organisation and management of football tours
  • Assist with the recruitment of new students and players
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the Director of Operations

Requirements

  • PGCE qualification or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Minimum UEFA B Licence
  • Experience of teaching and/or coaching young people
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion
