Job Responsibility

Handle mouse colony, including breeding and genotyping (PCR), post-operative care as part of daily duty
Maintain detailed spreadsheets for colony management updated daily
Perform a variety of routine laboratory experiments and procedures, utilizing standard laboratory equipment, recording, and checking results for completeness and accuracy
Assist in troubleshooting procedures if experimental results are unexpected or quality of specimens is poor
Maintain detailed records of results and methodologies in a log or work performed
Maintain equipment, lab area and supplies in a neat professional manner
Conduct literature searches and reviews, compile information for journals and suggest uses for new techniques
Carry out all laboratory activities in compliance with applicable regulations and protocols
