Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join our dedicated Leaving Care team in Gloucester on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

Job Responsibility

  • Work with a caseload of young people developing plans enabling young people to transition into adulthood
  • Work alongside Social Workers to ensure a smooth and supported transition when they come to leave care
  • Work with young people, enabling them to develop independence skills
  • Provide care leavers with practical and emotional support
  • Work in a multi-agency manner, thus providing quality services and outcomes for young people, as they transition into adulthood and independent living
  • Build up effective working relationships with a variety of young people from different backgrounds
  • Support and lead group work sessions and encourage and develop the participation of young people in shaping the services we deliver

Requirements

  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive
  • DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children’s)
