Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Leaving Care Personal Adviser to join our dedicated Leaving Care team in Cheltenham on a 7 month fixed term contract.

Job Responsibility:

  • work with a caseload of young people developing plans enabling young people to transition into adulthood
  • work alongside Social Workers to ensure a smooth and supported transition when they come to leave care
  • work with young people, enabling them to develop independence skills
  • provide care leavers with practical and emotional support
  • work in a multi-agency manner, thus providing quality services and outcomes for young people
  • build up effective working relationships with a variety of young people from different backgrounds
  • supporting and leading group work sessions
  • encouraging and developing the participation of young people in shaping the services we deliver

Requirements:

  • a full driving licence and willingness to drive
  • DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children’s)
