Job Description

The Leave of Absence Manager is responsible for managing the LOA Partner Team, that supports the employee and manager experience associated with leave of absence (LOA) and T-Mobile Paid Leave programs to ensure they are operating effectively providing top-quality support to our employees and managers. This role serves as the company’s subject matter expert (SME). In addition, the position ensures governance and compliance with all leave activity at the federal, state and local levels. This position regularly interprets and provides direction for the LOA Partners who partner with employees and coaches/managers across the enterprise on leave and pay related matters. This requires a working knowledge of all areas of TMUS business and the ability to provide solutions to the business regarding the specific LOA processes for those areas. As the leader of this function, The Manager, LOA is responsible for the coaching and development of internal LOA Partner staff members, as well as indirect reports, providing regular and timely feedback and training.

Job Responsibility

  • Leadership and management of LOA partner program and team, including coaching, training/development, regular feedback, and provide direct support during periods of high work volume or staffing shortages
  • Design and implement processes and tools for LOA Partners
  • Manage escalated leave cases and coordinate with internal business partners to resolve complex issues
  • Ensure governance and compliance by collaborating with legal teams to interpret and apply leave legislation
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience
  • OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience
  • OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • 5-6 years experience in STD/LTD/LOA/ADA/ADAAA/State Leave management (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated analytical experience. (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years Leadership experience (Preferred)
