We are looking for an experienced Leave Administrator to join a Financial Services organization in Exeter, New Hampshire on a Contract basis. This position will oversee leave administration for a large employee population in a fast-moving environment, serving as a key point of contact for employees and HR teams. The role requires strong knowledge of leave programs, careful documentation practices, and the ability to manage sensitive cases with accuracy and professionalism.
Job Responsibility
Oversee the full lifecycle of employee leave cases, including intake, review, approval tracking, and return-to-work coordination
Manage intermittent and continuous leave programs, short-term disability cases, and applicable state or local leave requests in accordance with policy and regulations
Maintain accurate records in HR and payroll systems while ensuring leave documentation is complete, current, and properly filed
Communicate directly with employees throughout the leave process, providing updates, guidance, and timely follow-up at each stage of the case
Partner with HR colleagues to support compliant leave administration and smooth transitions for employees beginning or returning from leave
Interpret and apply federal, state, and local leave requirements across a multi-state workforce with close attention to compliance obligations
Support a high-volume caseload for a workforce of more than 700 employees, including operational teams in demanding business areas
Assist with large-scale leave activity and employee portal administration to help keep processes organized and responsive
Requirements
10+ years of experience handling leave of absence administration in a high-volume business environment
Strong working knowledge of HRIS or payroll platforms used to process and track employee leave cases
In-depth understanding of intermittent and continuous leave administration, short-term disability, and state-specific leave programs
Demonstrated ability to support large employee populations with consistent accuracy and sound judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach to employee interaction
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while balancing multiple priorities
Background in Human Resources administration, employee relations, or related HR support functions is preferred
